Beading with Children
Many children love to string beads. The activity is fun, strengthens eye hand coordination and will improve a child's fine motor skills Beads can be any number of objects...they only need a hole for the string can pass through. Any of the following are great for kids to use to bead with, but be sure to watch younger children, and do not use small objects that can be choked on: Empty spools from thread Noodles Cereal old keys clean washers (choose size based on child's ability to grasp) Look around and think creatively. Don't forget the many types of beads that can be bought from craft stores, made of plastic, metal, stone, shell, and more. |
